I noticed that too! I think they got something setup in the rfm or something to where only the their track pack is allowed to be used for the mod. It's nice that they made a complete track pack, but it still sucks that you are only allowed to use their's. There must be a way around it.

Got it guys :excited: . Here are quick instructions for anyone who wants:
In you rfm folder open file SRM_1990.rfm with notepad. There you have a line:
Track Filter = F1_1990
Replace F1_1990 with just a * so you get(before the star you also give 1 space. That's why I'm giving it to you so you can copy and paste it :D ):
Track Filter = *
Have fun driving your car wherever you want :)

 Downloading now....Is it any good?......

I've known some folks with nothing good to say about SRM.......

EDIT: I'm still downloading the Track pack....1 hour on my Cable connection Seriously Megaupload?......... Regardless, I'm reading some worrying things on rFc.........Aside from the obvious Trackpack issue that Caris posted the fix for, there seem to be others. You CAN'T just download the Cars, you HAVE to have the Trackpack installed to even be able to select the mod. Though I suspect the fix above will also fix that. I've also read some people have done the filter change and that the Mod is crashing rFactor when trying to join an online server running a non-Trackpack Track.

For whatever reason these guys have gone the Proprietary Release route.

I'm also reading that the English version of the Mod only has 12 teams, and that the Italian Version has all 16 teams.......can anyone verify or deny this claim?

BUT, I will say if the mod is damn fun to drive, then I could probably overlook some of this stuff.....But I am really looking forward to the Tracks....

overall the mod seems quite good with my limited time in the cars. the tracks are fairly decent. fixing the track selection is easy, make a copy of the rfm and rename it and then do what listed above to avoid mismatches.

I got the English version and I have 12 teams. The download size for both the English and Italian version are the same size. And I checked in vehicle folder and there are only 12 teams in there. Also, the installer for my "English" version was still in Italian. :lol:I haven't had any issue with crashing though.
