GT-Legends and Windows7
« on: December 08, 2009, 03:07:03 am »
To play GT-Legends on Windows7

1.  Install GT-Legends from your DVD.  Do not start the game.

2.  Apply the GT-Legends 1.1 DVD Patch.  Do not start the game.

3.  Download the GTL No DVD crack.
  • Extract the File Archive to the root of your GTL directory, overwriting existing files.
  • Execute DECOMPRESS.BAT to update the game.

*I do not condone the use of game cracks, but in this case the game is no longer supported.  This is the only way to make the game work on Windows7.

You should now be Starforce free and able to play the game without the DVD.  However you will only be able to do so offline.  In order to play online, please continue with the following steps.

Going online with GT-Legends

1.  Download the Altbierbude lobby file.
  • Place the file in the root of your GTL directory

2.  Download the GTL_WIN7 batch file.
  • Extract the file to the root of your GTL directory
  • Double click the batch file to execute the update
  • Play the game!
*Note:  Adding mods, tracks, or cars may require you to run the GTL_WIN7 batch file update again.  You will only need to do so if you get an error when joining a server that states they are running a 'different version of the game'.

No, the command from that batch file renames *.GDB files to *.gdb files. It does not need to be executed all the times, just when you install new tracks, mods, ...

Exactly what I was looking for   :excited:
There are 3 files in the d'l section.  Are they all I need or must I find the GTL no dvd crack somewhere else?  Are there different versions of that crack also?

Another question;  can I install GTR2 & the PnG mod in Win 7 without problems?

Thats all for now thanks.

GTR2 and PnG should pose no problem, I've got it installed on win7.

You'll need the 'no dvd crack' from somewhere else yes.
